My Little Cowgirls!

Last week Joey's sister Christine and her family were in SLC visiting from Oklahoma!  She invited us one day to go with them to This is the Place Heritage Park in SLC.  I had never been there before and thought it was so much fun!  My girls loved the horse and wagon ride and the ice cream and little kids village.  I thought that it was a great place to go (aside from being extremely hot that day--this Vegas girls has wimped out in the heat department) and I recommend anyone with kids (or it would even be great without them!) to check it out!

Memories... :)

1.  As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together.  It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2.  Next, re-post these instructions on you blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.  It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

Beautiful Cool Mountains

Over the weekend we spent some time with our friends Dan and Becca.  Becca is my college roommate and Dan is Joey's buddy from High School who were also college roommates.  We went hiking near Fairview, Utah and the hills were covered in these gorgeous flowers.  Nobody remembered to bring a camera so these photos are from Becca's cell phone.  Not the best but also not too bad either.  Glad to have the memory.  It was beautiful though and the weather was much cooler up there.  Thanks guys for the fun!

Biased Mom!

Sorry to break it to you all but.......  I think I have the cutest kids in the whole world!  Naomi is repeating everything we say now and is showing so much personality-- it grows more prominent every day and I love it!  My favorite thing she does is grab my hand, walk me to the freezer, and say "gosco" (meaning popsicle).  I can never refuse her.

And I am so proud of Savannah for finally being potty trained!  It has improved our relationship so much having that finally, completely done with it.  Her new favorite thing is painting.  I hate the mess but love her creativity.  I found these great washable Crayola finger paints that come off everything though, so no sweat.  I just love this picture of her--- with those curls and eyes and that little expression (and even the little milk mustache)... its just one of my favorites so I had to post it.

ZOO TRIP

We have a play group in our ward that meets every week.  During the winter we just met at the church but now that its summer we have been meeting at various parks and outdoor locations.  Last week we went to the Hogle Zoo.  The best part was that my friend Tiffany was able to get most of us in for free!  The worst part, it was the hottest day so far this year!  But the kids loved it!  We brought our red wagon and it was a hit!  The kids  practically fought over who got to ride in it and who got to pull it!  It was squishy but we could fit 4 kids in it at a time.  Naomi was my adorable little navigator!  She was really into that map!  Thanks Ginger, Tiffany, and Leslie for a fun day!

Starting the Shout Outs!

I am so boring I just don't know what to blog about sometimes.  A few friends of mine put "shout outs" on their blog and just talk about a friend or family member.  I decided to do that occasionally too.  So I'm starting with mi hermana Alison.  She is in Washington DC now doing an internship with the Public and Foreign Relations Department for the LDS church.  (I don't have the title correct but its something like that).  She is having a blast out there but will be coming home in a few weeks.  Unless she lands a job there..... we'll see.  But we love and miss her!
