Week 23: 156-162

 156.  Doesn't this just make you cringe!?  Yuck!
The kids got to hold a tarantula at school.
S said it had been "one of her dreams" to hold one and it came true!
Sounds more like a nightmare to me, but glad she was happy :)

157.  Rise & Shout!
Isn't he beyond adorable in that football jersey??

 158. Happy 32nd Anniversary to my parents!
Grateful for their example to me.

159.  Had my first 2.5 league tennis match this week.
I lost but played better than I thought I would.
7-5, 7-5 (and I was up 5-4 both times).
So I only have room for improvement :)
Plus it was really fun & a great workout!

160.  Had fun at my cousin Kara's wedding.
Loved seeing so many relatives & dancing with my kids.

161. My kids are on YouTube!  Click here to watch it.
It is a video by Jenny Phillips, the LDS music artist.
It is pretty entertaining :)
My 2 nieces are in a video here .
It is even more entertaining.

162. So glad my favorite show is back on the air!!!

Week 22: 149-155

149. Me & Joey got a date night to the BYU game.
It was a little cold but so fun!
I haven't been to a game for 2 or 3 years so it was awesome...plus they won!

 150.  What is not to love here?

 151.  Love my little girl's creations.
This is N's.  She love "multi-color"

152. Watched this latest version of Emma.
Loved it.
If you are a Jane Austen fan then you must check this out!

153.  After a really cold week, I was happy for nice weather again.

154. Student of the Week:
for using time wisely.
I'm so proud. :)
(the irony though, is that she is horrible with time in the morning
& I'm always yelling at her to hurry and get this or that done so she can get ready on time.
How can I get this to translate from school to home?)

155.  Went to baby boy's 1 year doctor appt.
He is healthy & normal as can be,
though he is in the 3rd percentile for weight!
(that means if you lined up 100 babies his age, he would be the 3rd smallest).
It's not a big deal... he just gets to eat whatever he wants and as much as he wants
(don't I wish that doctor's order was for me!)

Week 21: 142-148

142. Our good friends opened up a Papa Johns store in Payson
(they also recently opened one in Tooele).
They invited us to their "Friends & Family" pre-opening.
It was a fun night with lots of good food!
If you are in either of these areas got get some yummy pizza!

 143. It was my baby boy's birthday!  1 years old!
We opened presents in the morning before daddy went to work.
He loves his new cars!

Then upheld my tradition that night of letting my babies go crazy with chocolate cake.
Surprisingly my boy was the least messy.

Opened presents and had a little "party" with cousins at grandma's house.

 144. Had a potato picking party with grandpa.
Cute cousins!

145. Went to a HS football game with my girls.
The student counsel was painting the HS letters on kids faces, but my true blue fans asked for Y's!

146. Got fresh blackberries from an orchard/fruit farm.
So amazing!
I've only ever had them from the store shipped in from who knows where.
And I always thought that they were usually quite sour.
But these were sweet and delightful!!!!!

147. Very much enjoyed watching LDS General Conference all weekend with my family.
Just the spiritual boost I needed.

148. Went to a bridal shower for my cousin.
Loved seeing & visiting with family that I haven't been with for a while.
They made these adorable carmel apples.
This picture doesn't show it, but they were tiny!
The apples were the size of apricots... adorable!  And delicious!!!

Week 20: 135-141

Busy Week!

135.  J took S to see Jimmer.
We had Jimmer-mania earlier this year at our house so she was excited to go!

136. I took the girls to see the Broadway Production of Mary Poppins
(forgot my camera :(
It was good & N said at the end that it was "the best show ever!"
I was surprised that it was quite a bit different than the movie
(and I was bugged at the naked-looking :/ statues that came to life instead of merry-go-round horses)
but overall it was great & so much fun!
We went with my mom & sister and had a fun girls night out!

137. Went to LDS Women's Conference & heard the best talk!!!
Click here to read or watch here.
It was from President Uchtdorf & below is a visual recap!

138. Stinkin Huge zucchini that was lost & overlooked somehow in our garden.
Anyone want it?
I'm about zucchinied out!
we've had it: sauteed, in pasta sauce, zucchini fettuccine, z casserole, z bread, choc z bread,
z & carrot muffins, tomato mac w/ z, sauteed again, steamed, 2 variations of soup, you name it!
We've given tons away and we still have about 20 left.
Help!

 139. Makes me smile!

140. My aunt sent me this picture of my grandpa.
Love it!
They've always had that picture on the wall & so did we growing up.

141. I just had to do one more triathalon because I love it so much!
found this fun one for women only.
went with a friend from my ward.

me swimming in the closest lane with bright orange cap, orangish-pinkinsh top, black shorts, center.
 in the transition area

 taking off on my bike

they had a "carnival" for the kids while they are waiting for mom to finish.
complete with face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, free chick-fil-a, sign making stations,
bounce-houses... so fun!!!

me after the race...
we got a necklace for finishing.
It was super fun & I'd love to do it again!
