Before & After

I'm aware that neither of these pictures is good (pictures you take at arms reach by yourself never are, especially in poorly lit rooms) but it shows a good contrast I think.  I just did this today and got a little bit braver than last time I went for a cut.  I think it will be cute curly.   Joey isn't a fan yet.  He likes long hair.  I asked what he thought and he said "average".  Ouch!  But I like it.  As you can see my before hair is just to much and too crazy.   No, I didn't try to make it look awful/crazy for dramatic effect.  That is just what it looks like if I let it dry natural.  We'll see if less hair makes it more manageable.

Photo Tag

My cousin did this photo tag.  You are suppose to post the 4th photo in the 4th folder on your computer.  This is mine.  It's Joey holding Savannah when she was 6 days old.  I think she is so adorable in that picture.  Apparently Joey just got home from a long day at school and that's why his hair isn't looking so hot.  I think the time is probably right on the picture.  So I tag everyone who wants to find their 4th 4th picture to do it!  I was curious what mine was... I'm glad that it's one I like.

1st Snow

Today is the first snow of the season here in northern Utah.  Not sure how I feel about it.  But  I sure am happy to have my new fireplace to stay warm and cozy!  Joey really does love it and the new way I arranged our living room.  When he got home he just kind of said, "How much did that cost?  What made you decide to buy that?" But he is okay with it and likes it.  

He had fun on his trip and caught lots of Mahi Mahi (Dorado).  I think he gave it all away though cause I don't like fish and don't know how to cook it.  He said they also caught huge squid, which they cut up and turn into bait.  Yuck!  At the airport he saw this store "Natalie's Candy Bar".  Awesome!  Why didn't I think of that?  Here is a picture of it and of the beach just in front of their hotel.  Nice.

I will play!!!  Joey's dad took him and his brothers fishing in Mexico for the past 5 days.  So even though I was so excited for him to get to go deep sea fishing with the guys I was feeling a little bit bummed being left behind so my mom and I had a fun day out while my dad watched my kids.  We went out to eat and saw a movie and went to BYU campus and my old stomping grounds, and shopping.  It was a cold rainy day and fall has definitely set in here in the Wasatch Mountains.  So I broke down and bought a fireplace!  We don't have one at our house and there is nothing I love more than sitting in front of the fire on a cold winters night.  So they had these electric ones at Costco that you just plug into the wall.  Of course it's not a real flame but it has a heater blower on it and a fake flame and glowing embers and it definitely gets the cozy job done.  I absolutely love it!!!  Now we'll see what Joey thinks when he gets home tomorrow.  Will he love it or be irked that I made such a purchase without him?  Either way I adore it.  My girls too.  Savannah wants it on every minute.  Totally worth it for us.  Best part is we can take it with us when we move and put it anywhere.  Love it love it!
