Week 7: 43-49

What made me happy or grateful this week:

 43. Love the summer and swimming almost every day!

 44. Went up to Eden, Ut for a few nights b/c Joey's bro hooked us up with a free condo!

Swam, played tennis, watched movies, relaxed. 

It was beautiful there... looked like Switzerland.

 45. Love the snowy mountains contrasting with these yellow wild flowers.  

Such a beautiful find on our drive to Eden.

 46. My baby brother opened his mission call this week!  He's heading to the Argentina Salta mission. 

Leaves Nov. 9.  We're all so excited for him!!!

 47. Did my first triathalon this past weekend!!  

My friend Nicole and I did just a novice tri so we could get the feel for how they go.  

We didn't train at all so it was the perfect amount of challenge for us.  

Now we know what to expect & we are going to start training for a real tri in August.

It was really so fun & I can't wait to do it again!

 48. Went to a little duck pond with my sweeties.  They loved it!

49. S was in her first little tennis tournament this weekend.  

She did awesome with her serves & had a lot of fun!

Week 6: 36-42

36.  Celebrated our 10th Anniversary!  And I still love this man like crazy!

37. For our anniversary we went out to eat & saw this movie.  It truly was all it was hyped-up to be. 

( we caught the PG-13 version that's still in the theater)

(dinner and a movie for our 10th? yeah.. tiny bit lame, I know... we wanted to do an awesome trip or something. But we spent all our money on our yard and didn't feel like I could leave baby yet)

 38. love the flags that the boy scouts put out for Flag Day.  

39. Took our Australian friend Kevin to an "American Baseball" game. 

Had fun watching the Bees with my sister Em's family.

40. Glad that some of my favorite shows are back on for the summer--"White Collar" & "Covert Affairs"... not that I've had time to watch them... 

but I'm glad I've got them recorded to watch someday :)

41. We finally planted our garden! Thank you dad for brining over a load of dirt & helping me out!

42. As we celebrated Father's Day I reflected on how thankful I am for the "dads" in my life.  

My own fabulous father who, to quote my sister quoting Pride & Prejudice is 

"one of the best men who ever breathed".

My fun father-in-law who is so supportive & giving.

And the fantastic father-of-my children... he continuously delights us with what a great dad he is.

So it was perfect to crop down & show the very 3 men I was thinking of :)

Week 5: 29

29. TRIATHALON!

our awesome neighborhood put on a 1st annual Jr. Triathalon.

the kids LOVED it!  

They even wanted to wear their medals to church the next day and I couldn't refuse. ;)

Looking forward to doing this every year.

Week 5: 30-35

30. Savannah was on a breakfast making kick this week.  Here are her creations for us.

31. Made crepes several times this week.  We all love them!  

 put this yummy fruit preserve on them... so good!

 32. sod, sod, beautiful sod! 

We got the top soil delivered and smoothed out and we're ready for grass!

 33. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO grateful for our home teacher, neighbors, and ESPECIALLY my brother-in-law (and his dad) for helping us put in our sod.

 Joel worked so hard on our sprinklers and dirt and grass and was a really great sport about everything.

Thank you so much for you help!

34. Thrilled to have our grass in and our yard looking better!  

Still some work to do but I'm very happy with this progress!

35. Shutterfly: I have to make a book for my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. 

I have checked out 7 different book making websites 

(Costco, Macey's, Blurb, Inkley's, My Publisher, Bookemon, & Shutterfly) 

and I have found Shutterfly far and away the easiest to work with and the quickest printing and delivery.

Now I just have to finish the book :/

Week 4: 22-28

What I'm grateful for and/or made me happy this week:

22. Last day of school!  S was in a dance festival and they performed "Chim-Chim-Cheeri" & "Step-in-Time" from Mary Poppins.  Loved it!

23.  Went to Pirates 4 with Joey, my dad, brother, sister, & dad's friend from Australia Kevin.  

I really liked the show... way better than 2 & 3.  

Also, did you know that on Facebook you can change your language to "English: Pirate"?  

So to get in the mood for this movie I did that & it cracks me up.  It says things like instead of "4 friends like this" it says "4 other mateys be likin' this ere' scroll."  

24.  My brother Austin graduated from High School.  He's the last of our clan.  

And his mission papers go in this week!  Yay!

 25.  Then my little sister Emily graduated from Pharmacy School.  So proud of her!!!

26. Redeemed myself from the ridiculous Hello Kitty cake with this yummy chocolate creation below.

It was really delish & for once everyone was impressed with my dessert :)

27.  Girls night out to the dollar theatre to see this movie.  Really enjoyed it!  

It was a record for me! 2 movies in one week.  

Tangled at Christmas time was the last movie I saw in the theatre I think. 

It was fun to go out with some girlfriends... haven't done that for a while either.

28. SO grateful for nice weather finally!!!!  

We went swimming twice this week and I can't wait for a whole summer filled with

 snowcones & swimming!
