Shabby Baby

Savannah would love to be the Shabby Baby "Picture Princess" for their next photo shoot!  She is a fun, sweet, happy girl and we don't go anywhere without someone commenting on her lovely, natural curls.  She definitely draws attention with that hair, her deep blue eyes, and long eye-lashes.  She has been told many times that she should be entered in a contest or try modeling so here we go!  Grandma has a dress-up box that is Savannah's delight and so she would LOVE dressing up in all those adorable Shabby Baby outfits!  Mom loves the Shabby Apple dresses for herself too!  Thanks!

Grrrrrrr!!!!!

SO.... I just got back from downtown SLC and I'm kinda mad.  As I was driving there to go to the church history museum with our play group I get pulled over by a cop.  "What seems to be the problem officer?"  I guess I put my license plate with the registration decals on the front license plate instead of the back plate.  Dumb me.  Mind you it has been this way since last July... almost 9 months now.  He was cool and said to just change it when I got home.  PHew!!!  So I park on the street at a meter and put my money in and go to the museum.  Come back with 1 minute to spare on the meter and what do I find on my windshield but a TICKET!!!  I'm mad cuz I know I have time on my meter still.  I read it and its for the idiotic decal on the front license again!!!  $30 and the other guy basically told me I was okay.  I'm so mad.  So I called to dispute it and the guy says its not in the system yet and I have to call back tomorrow of Friday.  Needless to say that I changed the plates as soon as I got home... but I'm so so so annoyed that I had it like that for 9 months and no big deal... and then I got in trouble twice in one hour for it in downtown SLC.  Apparently I'm the biggest crime in the entire state that this is all their policemen have to do!

P90X

So after a year of wanting to do this--Joey finally talked me into getting P90X and doing it with him.  It's a 90-day fitness challenge and you supposedly get in super shape.  I don't want to get too "meaty" so I am doing the "Lean" version.  You do an hour long workout 6 days a week and there is a diet that we are following along the way.  Basically no sugar, moderate carbs, and lots of protein and veggies.  Overall how we should be eating normally... just a lot of extra protein in this diet to build muscle.  I don't feel like I need to lose weight or anything... I just want to prove to myself that I can still have a great body post-babies.  But I must admit it hasn't even been 24 hours and I'm already going through sugar-withdrawals!!!  So I am posting this mostly for myself because they say once you make a goal/commitment outloud you are more likely to keep it.  So here I go!!!

Draper Temple

Joey and I went to the Draper Temple Open House the first week of the open house and then I went again with Savannah & Naomi & my parents last week.  I think the girls' favorite part was actually the bus ride from the church parking up to the temple.  But the temple was just incredibly beautiful and we loved it!   I hadn't been to a temple open house since I was 8 years old... for the Las Vegas Temple.  So it was a wonderful experience to share with my girls last week and I am so grateful for temples on the earth and for my eternal family!

whoopsie!

So last night we were at my sister Emily's house.  I went out of the room and came back and Emily asked me who Bugga Boy was.  I explained that he's Savannah's favorite toy- a little brown beanie baby dog.  Everyone laughed cause while I was out of the room Emily's brother-in-law (who is African American) came into the room and apparently Savannah had said to him... "You look brown like Bugga Boy!"  Geesh!  How embarassing.  I don't think he was offended--- I hope!
